International Dance Day is a global celebration that is marked every year on 29th April. The day aims at spreading knowledge about different dance forms and encouraging participation. It further showcases the diversity as well as beauty of dance as a form of art.

International Dance Day happens to be the birth anniversary of Jean-Georges Noverre, the creator of modern ballet. DAV BRS Nagar today celebrated the day with gusto and fervour coinciding the celebration with the successful completion of glorious 39 academic years and thus stepping into the 40th year. Students of classes 8th ,9th and 10th exhibited their talent to mark 40th anniversary of International Dance Day. The dance performance which was the combination of classical and folk form left every one spell bound. It was a visual treat to watch the students form the magical '40'number in their fusion dance .

Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu congratulated all and appreciated the efforts of students and their mentors. She also stressed upon them to indulge themselves in such activities to remain active,alert and agile and to improve their concentration.
