Social and emotional skills ,habits and mindsets can set students up for academic and life success and an in-service teacher training can support good teaching practices and implementation of the same in curricula .Keeping this in mind a two days teacher training workshop – Lions Quest was organized at DAV BRS NAGAR, by Lions Clubs International, District 321-F on 30^th & 31^st October, 2021.

MJF Lion Nakesh Garg (District Governor) was the chief guest, MJF Lion Ravinder Sagger was the guest of honour. Mrs. Prerna Aggarwal, Trainer Lions Quest was the resource person for the workshop.26 teachers from the school attended  the Lions Quest Workshop. The workshop began with an ice breaking session where the resource person urged the participants to come up with behaviourial problems that they face in their classes in routine and how do they tackle the same. Thereafter she gave various tips to handle tricky situations as the children themselves had to undergo immense pressure during the corona pandemic. She also suggested to be very sensitive and patient in dealing with adolescents with impressionable minds. The participants were involved in several activities to make them adept in drawing out the best from the teens.The teachers were also given tips on buildin strong connections with the students to ensure ample sharing between the teacher and the taught which is sure to provide much needed emotional support to young learners in their transitional years.

Principal J.K. Sidhu, thanked the dignitaries from the Lions Club and the resource person for sparing some time out of their busy schedules and apprise the participants with ways and means to deal with students so that they are shaped as socially and emotionally strong individuals in the long run. She assured  the resource person that the  valuable tips given by the resource person will be effectively applied in the classrooms for the benefit of one and all.
