Enlightened and aware citizens ensure safety of one and all and Traffic Rules play an important role in ensuring safety of all road users. Keeping this in mind the school organised a lecture for the students and the drivers of the school to make them aware about the various symbols and rules to be followed to avoid all kinds of mishaps on the roads.
Nearly 1000 students and 125 drivers and attendants of the school transport attended the session. The Resource Person for the session was Constable, Mr. Gurpreet Singh (Traffic). He was accompanied by ASI Mr. Tara Singh and Head Constable Mr. Jasbir Singh from Traffic Training Cell. The Resource Person apprised the participants about the hazards of over speeding, drunken driving and jumping traffic lights for the individual, family and the society. In the interactive session he invited the students to come up with their queries so that they could save precious lives from being consumed on the roads.
The students were also told about the new ruling to be passed by the government to curb under age driving. He exhorted the students, teachers, parents and drivers to join hands with the Traffic Police to check menace of violations of traffic rules. The resource person, Gurpreet Singh appreciated the efforts made by the school to create awareness amongst all the stake holders to curtail under age and rash driving.

Principal Mrs. J.K Sidhu thanked the team from Traffic Training Cell and assured that the students of the institution will take up the role of traffic sentinels in the days to come.
