The Martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh was observed as ‘Youth Empowerment Day’ at DAV BRS Nagar. On this occasion different activities viz paper reading, poetry writing and recitation, short skits highlighting the supreme sacrifices made by martyrs like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were enacted by the students of 10^th standard so as to foster patriotic fervor in all DAVians and instill a feeling of remaining loyal to their motherland.

In the present scenario when the youth are straying away from their roots because of various distractions at hand, the day provided an ideal opportunity to the young students to take a peep into the past and ignite in them a feeling of safe guarding their nation from all exigencies.

The students on this occasion pledged to continue to strive on the righteous path and contribute their bit as responsible and active citizens of the nation, today and tomorrow.

Principal J.K. Sidhu appreciated the efforts of the students and the teachers in commemorating the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. She emphasized that the students who are the future of the nation must remain loyal to their roots and motherland while scaling new heights.
