We are privileged to be born in an independent nation and lucky to have our fundamental rights giving us the chance to live our lives in the spirit of free men and women. Republic Day holds a great significance in our lives and to enlighten the students about the same, D.A.V. PUBLIC SCHOOL, BRS Nagar was soaked in patriotic fervor with Republic Day Celebrations hogging the limelight.

The celebrations began with the unfurling of the National Flag by Dr. Pardeep Mahindra followed by cultural programme by the students of class IV and V and a speech by the Principal J.K. Sidhu, who reminded the students about the great sacrifices made by the freedom fighters.

She paid rich tributes to Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the father of the constitution, who envisaged India that protects rights of its citizen and motivates the citizen to perform their duties in the right earnest. She urged the students to scale greater heights with the motto of duties first and rights later. The students vowed to follow the Principal's message in letter and spirit.
