Children’s Day Celebrated with gaiety at DAV BRS Nagar campus

14th November i.e. Chacha Nehru’s Birthday holds a great significance in the life of every Indian child as it is celebrated as Children’s Day. The students came dressed in civil dress and the day started with paying rich tributes to Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who had great love for children.
The school had made elaborate arrangements for making the day a memorable one for the students. The junior school enjoyed watching movie specially screened for them in the auditorium and also participated in various competitions like Rubik’s cube, Art Competition and Fireless cooking to name a few.
The senior students celebrated the day by dancing to the tunes of the latest numbers. They also relished the home cooked favourite delicacies of their choice.
The result of the various competitions is as under:
Card Making Competition - Dhruv Chawla of IV, Aarjya and Sana of Class-III bagged 1st Prize.
Fireless Cooking - VI-D bagged 1st Prize.
Rubik’s Cube Competition - Angad of V won 1st Prize
Principal J.K. Sidhu congratulated the winners and exhorted the students to follow the path of growth and development shown by Pandit Ji and contribute in the development of the country.
