DAV BRS Nagar Celebrates Vigilance Awareness Week

Vigilance Awareness Week an initiative of Central Vigilance Commission and taken up with gusto by CBSE aims at producing vigilant generation next that will act as sentinels to kill the monster of corruption rampant in the society. From 29th October 2018 to 3rd November 2018 the students of the school took part in several activities.

The week started with integrity pledge being administered to the students of secondary and senior wing where they resolved neither to accept bribe nor to give bribe. After this the students wrote slogans, participated in group discussion and cartoon making to create awareness about ill effects of corruption in the society.’ They even wrote essays on the topics of ‘Preventive Vigilance as a Tool of Good Governance, Corruption free India and ill effects of corruption and prevention there after conducted by postal department as well as CBSE. They even made thought provoking posters on the issues to create a generation of enlightened and aware citizen.

The school also organised lectures by eminent spokesperson like advocate Hari Om Jindal working with district and High court and Jatinder Singh Manchanda, Chairman Sambhav foundation, Ludhiana who addressed the students and encouraged them to be vigilant and aware about their rights and duties and thus be the responsible citizens of corruption free India. They also exhorted the students to not to give in to any kind of corruption at any moment of their lives Viz student, employee or administrator. Jatinder Singh Manchanda also addressed the issue of water conservation with the tag line ‘PAANI SAADA HAANI ‘as all forms of life are dependent on water. He coaxed the students to conserve this precious resource at the individual level for the benefit of all.

Queries of the students were also dealt effectively by the spokespersons who vowed together with all present to contribute in their measure towards a cleaner and corruption free India.

Principal J.K. Sidhu thanked the speakers and expressed hope that with youngsters taking the integrity pledge and assuring their contribution India will soon become a corruption free country.
