D.A.V. BRS Nagar hosts DAV National Sports (Zonal Level)-2018 in Judo, Badminton and Volleyball

Physical fitness comes from toiling in the game field and DAV aiming at the overall development of the student’s organizes National Sports at different levels. Today DAV Public School played host to Zonal Level Tournaments in the games of Judo, Badminton & Volleyball where winners of Cluster Level from the zones of Amritsar, Bathinda, Patiala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur and Samana clusters participated vying for the top position for both boys & girls.

There were total six teams in each game for both boys & girls who put their best foot forward to give hard time to the competing team. All the teams had a tough time to come out victorious. The result of the various games is as under.

  2.  Runner Up –  DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar

Event:  Badminton (Girls)

  1. Winner –         DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar
  2.  Runner Up –  Police DAV Jalandhar

Event:  Volleyball (Boys)

  1. Winner –       Police DAV Amritsar
  2. Runner Up – Police DAV Jalandhar

Event:  Volleyball (Girls)

  1. Winner –                Police DAV Jalandhar
  2. Runner Up          – DAV School Pattran(Samana)

Event:  Judo (Boys)

  1. 1st Runner Up –                 Jalandhar Cluster            
  2. 2nd Runner Up –                Amritsar Cluster

Event:  Judo (girls)

  1. 1st Runner Up –                 Jalandhar Cluster            
  2. 2nd Runner Up –                Patiala Cluster

Vice –Chairman of the school S.S. Johl gave away the medals and the trophies to the winners and motivated them to continue with their winning spree. Principal J.K. Sidhu congratulated the winners and their coaches. She boosted the morale of the participants saying that winning and losing is immaterial what counts is the sportsmanship.
