The students of class X displayed their feeling of patriotism when they involved themselves in cleaning Mahatma Gandhi ji’s statue situated in front of old Sheetla Mata Temple, Ludhiana. Taking inspiration from the chapter 'Neta ji ka Chashma' included in their Hindi book, the students paid homage to the revered leader by cleaning the statue, offering garland of flowers and lighting a diya on his statue as a mark of respect to him. They put on a new pair of spectacles on the statue without which it looked incomplete. Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu appreciated this endeavour on the part of the students and their Hindi teacher, Mrs Beena Sharma, and said that such gestures go a long way to instil the feeling of patriotism among the school students.
