A team from St. Mary’s CEP Academy, Folkestone, UK comprising of Mr. Trevor North (Head Teacher), Mrs. Colette Cotton (International Co-ordinator) and Miss Holly Kleinman (Teacher) is on a three- day visit to DAV Public School, B.R.S. Nagar, Ludhiana from 16th January to 18th January. This trip is funded by British Council London under ‘Connecting Classrooms’ Professional Grant.

The purpose of this visit is to enhance the understanding of cultures and traditions of both the countries and to develop international curriculum to add a global dimension to the education to the young learners.

On the third day of their visit today, the esteemed guests visited 'Creative Vistas'- an exhibition displaying art, craft and SUPW work done by the students. It was a satisfaction to the mind to see the wonderful work done by creative minds. 

The team visited various classes today in order to have a feel of the teaching learning process of the school. They were highly appreciative of spoken English and confidence of the students. The guests were all praise for the different facilities provided by the school in the form of spacious library and language lab to bring the school at par with the international standards. School also witnessed great sporting event in the afternoon where the players kept spectators spell bound with their scintillating performance. It was a feast to watch Mr. North admiring the zeal of the children who could not resist himself to join them in the Basketball match.

The day ended with their interaction with the coordinators of various subjects where the guests were apprised of the best practices being carried out in the school. Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu hoped that the trip would provide a great learning platform to all the stake- holders.
