Right type of education can make the human beings good citizens in real sense of the word and as a result, a better order of society can be built. So, it is imperative that all the schools across the country provide holistic learning opportunity to their learners as well as to their teachers. Responding to this need, a training workshop for mother - teachers of classes I & II & English teachers teaching classes III to VII was conducted on 26-10-17 by Mrs. Shikha Sood, a professional trainer with an experience of 15 years in the field of education who possesses excellent teamwork ability & a balanced approach in dealing with people. The topics taken up during the workshop were – 'Importance of Reading', 'Guided reading for kids' & 'Read Loud'.

She stressed the need for enhancing the performance of the students by adopting various interesting techniques so that we can reap a rich harvest of academically sound, socially responsible and professionally excellent citizens. She highlighted the importance of developing reading skills among the learners at primary level & urged the teachers to make teaching – learning process useful & interesting for them.

It was an inter-active workshop where the teachers participated enthusiastically and sought answers to their queries. The Principal thanked the resource person & said that this workshop would help the teachers to understand the learner in a better way. She expressed the need for these training programmes to be organised on regular basis to enhance the academic standards.
