India the land of diversity has a lot to offer in terms of music and art to leave one and all awestruck. The DAVians today had a lifetime experience of listening to Rajasthani Folk Recital by Anwar Khan Langa and troupe, who performed in the school under the aegis of Spic Macay Society dedicated for the promotion of Indian classical music and culture amongst youth.
The programme started with sacred lamp lighting by Ms. Neelam Kapoor and Dr. (Mrs.) Parmeet Saini from Spic Macay Ludhiana Chapter, Anwar Khan Langa and the Principal. After then was a musical journey for one and all. The beats and the rhythm of Rajasthani folk compelled one and all to tap their feet. The powerful voice in which the maestro gave a glimpse of the colourful land of the braves transported all to Rajasthan and experience the essence of Rajasthani culture. The language barrier could not stop anyone from enjoying the music that has great power to connect people from diverse cultures and land. The recital came to an end amidst everyone wanting more to soothe their ears.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the organizers for bringing world famous legends to school to apprise the students of the talent and give them an exhilarating experience.
