Rivers are our lifelines and it is our duty to protect these for our survival. ‘ISHA’ foundation is doing a pioneering job in creating awareness on the length and breadth of the country to impress upon the policy framers to take up the task of saving the rivers on war footing and DAV BRS Nagar has joined this noble cause.

Nationwide ‘Rally For Rivers’ started on 3^rd September,2017 and will continue till 2^nd October, 2017 with a mission to give a petition to the Prime Minister for taking up the task of saving the rivers to save humanity that is sure to suffer due to scarcity of water.

The volunteers of ISHA foundation created awareness amongst the students of the school through an informative video that showed the degeneration of the rivers in India and the role that humans can play to protect these rivers for protecting life on the earth. The students promised to ensure at least ten missed calls to 80009-80009 to get the support of 30 crore people after taking the pledge. With the participation of the students ISHA foundation hopes to touch the magical number to impress upon the policy framers the need for saving the water resources of the country.

Principal Mrs. J.K.Sidhu in her address motivated the students to be the volunteers for the noble cause to create a better world for our future generation with enough water for their use.
