Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu, Principal of DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana became the proud recipient of 'Excellence Award' conferred to the best Principal at National Level by the honorable President of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. She was honoured with a Gold Medal, Citation and Shawl at a glittering ceremony organized at Parade Ground, Panchkula to mark 'Samarpan Divas' to celebrate birthday of Mahatma Hans Raj Ji, who rendered honorary Service to DAV, all his life.
It was a proud moment for all associated with DAV Public School, BRS Nagar as Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu was honoured for her contribution in the field of education and Gunpeert Kaur of XII (2017) batch was honoured for securing 3rd Rank at National Level amongst all DAVs, scoring 98.4% marks. The leader and the pupil added glory to the institution with the National Level achievements.
Mrs. J.K. Sidhu started her career as PGT (Physics) from DAV Public School, BRS Nagar and became a principal in 2005. In her career of 13 years as principal she has added several new dimensions to the institution. There are several firsts in her kitty and it is her spirit to lead from the front and passion for innovation that has contributed to the phenomenal rise of the institution.
The students of the School under her care, guidance and tutelage are bringing laurels to their almamater and this award is well deserved for an academician of her repute and the staff and students feel honoured to be associated with her. It is her passion for excellence, love for discipline and tireless efforts for achieving the goals that motivates one and all. She has a dream of making her students worthwhile contributors in all fields of life at all levels and for this she is always ready to walk an extra mile.
Mrs. Sidhu with all her humility, expressed feelings of gratitude to the staff and dedicated the Award to each and every member of staff, who toil in the classrooms, playgrounds, activities, buses and every other area of work. She said that her achievement was the recognition of collective good work.
