'Prerna Peeth' Ludhiana organised a special prayer meeting for character building at DAV BRS Nagar Ludhiana today. The main aim behind this was to create a strong and prosperous nation where youth are healthy and disciplined.

Padma Bhushan Dr. S.S. Johl , Chairman- Prerna Peeth and Vice- Chairman- DAV BRS Nagar Ludhiana was the Chief Guest of the function where Dr. Vijay Asdhir, Chief Advisor- Prerna Peeth and Director- KMIT and Mr. Varinder Mittal, President- Prerna Peeth and other distinguished members of the organisation were in attendance.

The function started with traditional lamp- lighting ceremony followed by 'thought for the day' and 'news headlines' presented by class VIII students. Dance item enthralled one and all and the short skit on 'Clean and Green India' motivated everyone to play the role of responsible citizens of a great nation. The Chief Guest and the other distinguished guests along with Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu gave away the prizes to the winners of various olympiads. Dr. S.S. Johl administered an oath for inculcating moral values and charater building to the students. Dr. Vijay Asdhir's motivating lecture instilled vigour and energy to the students. He motivated them to be righteous in their actions and to be duty conscious all the time.

Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked Dr. S.S. Johl and other guests of the day and assured that DAV BRS Nagar would be a partner in the enterprise of promoting moral values and character building initiative being run by 'Prerna Peeth'. She congratulated all the prize winners and expressed hope for better results in the days to come. The children left the auditorium with determination to play the role of concencious nation builders.
