It is imperative for all the schools across the country to provide holistic learning opportunity to the learners. Responding to this need , DAV Public School, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana organised Capacity Building Programmes for Senior Secondary classes in the subject of Business Studies , Accountancy and Economics on 3-06-17 and 04-06-17. 16 teachers from various DAV Schools across the region attended the programmes which were organised under the aegis of DAV Centre for Academic Excellence, New Delhi.

The Resource Persons were Mrs. Kamalpreet (Accountancy), Mrs. Monica Gupta(Business Studies) and Mr. Darshan Singh (Economics).

They stressed the need for using digital learning in modern classroom. They touched all the important areas like 'Latest Exam Pattern', 'Common Errors done by the students', 'Analysis of XII board Paper', 'Capital Structure in Financial Management', and 'Preparation of Assignments'. The resource persons, very effectively, took up relevant topics like 'Admission of a Partner', 'Share Capital', 'Redemption of Debentures' and 'Cash-flow Statement'.
They also had fruitful discussion on 'Key words in the case studies', 'How to attempt CBSE exams smartly', 'Art of memorizing the concepts in Business Studies', 'Important topics of Macro Economics' and 'Project Work' through Power-Point Presentations and interesting videos. These workshops were very interactive wherein the teachers participated whole-heartedly.

The Principal of the school , Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the resource persons and delegates and hoped that these in-service training workshops will equip the teachers to deal with the learners in a better way.
