Choosing right stream keeping in mind one's interest and capabilities is a difficult decision both for the students and the parents. Right decision at this juncture can make or mar the future of the students. Knowledge about the options eases the decision making and for this school organized a counselling session for the students of class X where life coach Mr. Parth Ashok Narang addressed the parents to apprise them with the trauma that the children under go and the ways to handle and facilitate them.
He started the talk by advising the parents to support their wards and for not pressurizing them for the unrealistic goals. He laid stress on giving the children a chance to choose the path they wish to tread. Youngsters today have diverse distraction but are more aware about the less trodden career options. So instead of making them follow a time tested career, we should give them a free hand to shape a better tomorrow.
Mr. Parth also stressed the fact that in the present scenario 100% marks are not that important as developing skills to tackle the challenges of today’s world and so academic excellence is no yardstick. He quoted his own example along with host of other successful men and women, who were never academically bright yet tasted success. He talked about various streams and exhorted parents to keep themselves well informed and give a patient hearing to their wards. Towards the end he answered the queries of the parents to the satisfaction of one and all.
In his session with the students he encouraged them to give their best and have enough patience and maintain calm. He asked them to be careful in their selection of stream and give their best to excel. He answered the queries of the students regarding various course choices.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu, thanked Mr. Parth for the successful conduct of both the sessions and also thanked the parents for giving an overwhelming response to all the endeavours of the school in the interest of the students.
