Arya Ratan Dr. Punam Suri Ji, President DAVCMC and Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Sabha, New Delhi was the Chief Guest. A host of other luminaries like Sh. J.P. Shoor ji, Director PSI and aided schools, Dr. S.S. Johl, Chancellor, Central University, Punjab and Vice Chairman LMC and other members of LMC were also in attendance. Beginning with a rhythmic dance with the message of preserving the five basic elements of the universe, it went on project a mother's unsurpassable strength and immense pain that she undergoes to give birth to the progeny.

After a floral welcome to the dignitaries and lamp lighting ceremony, Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu read out the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the students in academics, co-curricular activities and sports. A brief cultural programme woven round the theme- 'Mother' in all aspects viz biological mother, mother nature and mother earth followed next and her role in safeguarding life on the planet earth.

Mellifluous rendition of a song focusing on mother's role in shaping a child's personality kept the audience spell bound and the fusion dance of different countries evoked a thunderous applause from all. The act depicting a mother's courage in the wake of her martyred child left everyone teary eyed and received a standing ovation from the audience. This was followed by a heart touching depiction of mother earth's fury due to ruthless plundering of her resources.

Thereafter the audience was taken down the memory lane to the foundation of Arya Samaj and contribution made by its prominent leaders in the eradication of evils. Charaivaiti dance giving the message of relentless efforts for proving one's mettle acted as the icing on the cake as the last item of the day.

The Chief Guest in his motivational address applauded the students and their teachers for putting up such a spectacular show a fine amalgam of art and talent. The Chief Guest encouraged all to keep smiling and asked to think big and positive as these pave the way for happy and successful life. Around 500 students received prizes from the hands of the Chief Guest Dr. Punam Suri ji to carry the lasting taste of success and experience along. He encouraged the staff and the students to work diligently to better their ownselves.

Principal, Mrs. J.K. Sidhu in her address thanked the dignitaries who had spared some time from their hectic schedules to be a part of this grand event and boosted the morale of participants, prize winners and the staff.
