Train them young to make them the best administrators goes right when we prepare second line of administration in the school by giving the reins of student council in the hands of the students by decorating them with different designations.
Going by the dictum of hardwork combined with smart work the students are given an opportunity to act as efficient front runners in the school scenario by assigning them with different posts. The school organized Investiture ceremony for the student council of the session 2016-17. Enthusiasm was worth noting and the auditorium reverberated with the zeal of the new would be commandants. Chief Guest Padmabhushan Dr. S.S. Johl Chancellor, Central University, Bathinda was the Chief Guest of the function and he was accorded a formal welcome on his arrival. Dr. Johl in his address apprised the office bearers of the responsibilities entrusted to them. He coaxed all the 22 council members, 41 Prefects and 14 Class Representatives to come true to the expectation of one and all. Dr. S.S. Johl appreciated the conduct of the ceremony and asked the students to learn the important lesson of conduct during social functions to be the guiding stars.
It was a visual treat to see the house masters walking to the aisle with their respective teams to take the cath of office and sincere work. The Chief Guest decorated the council members and the Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu gave them the badge of honour while congratulating each one of them for being the new office bearers.
Mr. Kawaljit Singh, Additional Session Judge and father of the head boy Angad Pal Singh was present in the ceremony to motivate all the office bearers. The Head Boy Angad Pal Singh Sandhu and Head Girl Vanshika Malhotra in their respective speeches assured their and their team’s cooperation in all the endeavours of the school and promised to be available as and when any student needed their help.
Principal Mrs. J.K. Sidhu thanked the Chief Guest Dr. S.S. Johl and Mr. Kawaljit Singh Sandhu for sparing their valuable time and instilling the sense of responsibility in the new council members. She encouraged the council members to be role models for the juniors and take DAV legacy to the greater heights. She also thanked the parents of the office bearers who came to the school for motivating their wards thus extending a great support to the institution.
